About the Youngs
|
|
| Jim and Walta Young have been in the Quarter Horse business together for over 40 years. Horses and the Youngs' began in the early 1900's Jim's Dad, Henry, was an accomplished Polo Trainer. Aunt, Izora Young, is in the "Cowgirl Hall of Fame" and will soon celebrate her 100th birthday. |

 Cheryl attended the National High School Rodeo Finals for two years competing in the breakaway calf roping and for National High School Rodeo Queen. She was the New Mexico High School Rodeo Queen |

 Cheryl also competed in the Jr. World Quarter horse show in Tulsa, OK in the breakaway roping |

 Cheryl still rides and uses her talent on her family ranch with her husband Lane and children. Here she is riding the son of Prerecorded to brand cattle |
